PHILOSOPHY OF GOFAMINT SCHOOL FOR WORLD MISSIONS
- Knowledge is required for development of character and competence necessary to solve any problem. We drill our students through a ‘Know Be Do’ curriculum that develops their intellectual capacity, transforms character into Christ-likeness, and impart skills for effective work.
- We believe in fellowship because we recognize the importance of partnership and networking. We are members of the following bodies: Nigeria Evangelical Missions Association (NEMA), Association of Evangelicals of Africa (AEA), and Nigeria Evangelical Fellowship (NEF). We also give room for peer learning as we interact with other Missions training institutions such as Nigeria Evangelical Missions Institute, Jos, Plateau State, Christian Missionary Foundation School of Missions, Ibadan, Oyo State, The Redeemed School of Missions, Ede, Osun State, Life Theological Seminary School of Missions, Ajebo, Ogun State, all in Nigeria.
3. We believe that formal learning and experiential learning must be allowed to complement each other, hence we allow our trainees to have field exposures visits, missions trips, and a period of six-month attachment to a mission field for practical (internship) during the training. During the period of practical the trainees will be visited for supervision
4. The training is residential and has some lecturers as permanent residential staff, while others are visiting lecturers. We emphasize experience on the part of the lecturers as well as the core values of discipleship such high sense of discipline, hard work, consecration, commitment, accountability, cleanliness, godliness, faith, cooperation, excellence in character and conduct, and intentional soul
